The Fourth Unitarian Universalist Congregation is located in Mohegan Lake, New York, serving the Northern Westchester and Putnam areas, celebrated its 60th year in 2017. The congregation is a member of the national Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations (www.uua.org).

Our Services: Sundays September through June, 10:30-11:30 AM, audio recorded.
Coffee, refreshments, and conversation follow, with a “bring-in” potluck lunch on the first Sunday of the month.
Nursery care is provided.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Minister shall work together with the Board and the Congregation’s members and friends to fulfill the Congregation’s mission in a shared ministry model.
The Minister shall be responsible for the Congregation’s overall spiritual well-being, including but not limited to:
TERM: August 1, 2020-July 31, 2021, on a half-time basis, expressed as twenty-four units per month, where one unit is a morning, an afternoon, or an evening.
COMPENSATION: Salary to be negotiated, professional expenses allowance. Right of First Refusal for all rites of passage conducted on the Congregation’s premises.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Minister shall work together with the Board and the Congregation’s members and friends to fulfill the Congregation’s mission in a shared ministry model.
The Minister shall be responsible for the Congregation’s overall spiritual well-being, including but not limited to:
- The conduct of worship and ceremony:
- Responsibility for the liturgy and preaching for approximately twenty Sunday services over the course of the year, and
- Being available to serve as a resource for lay members who prepare Sunday services during the year.
- Pastoral care;
- Support for the religious education of children, youth, and adults;
- Support for the social action initiatives of the Congregation;
- Participation in denominational and interfaith affairs;
- Working with the Board and Board-appointed committees for the purpose of leadership development, including but not limited to:
- Attending monthly Board of Trustee meetings and providing to the Board, in advance of each such meeting, a written Minister’s Report.
- Attending and participating in the annual retreat of the Board of Trustees.
- Presenting a report to the membership at the Congregation’s Annual Meeting in May.
- Meeting with the Committee on Ministry on a monthly basis.

- Four Weeks of paid vacation.
- Unpaid leave: Up to 12 weeks when needed to care for a family member (child, spouse/partner, parent, in-law, or other close family member) with a serious health condition.
- Bereavement Leave: Up to 10 days, upon the death of an immediate family member (spouse/partner, child, sibling, parent or in-law). Up to 5 days paid leave for the death of a family member outside the immediate family.

- liberal in thinking, open to all humanist and spiritual traditions and stories and eager to create a path for the congregation toward growth and openness to new thinking.
- able to help us expand our horizons and connect meaningfully with others.
- strong enough to lead the congregation but willing to share leadership in shared ministry.
- willing to train members of congregation to take on leadership roles.
- able to lead us in responding creatively to change and is interested in reaching out to draw more young families to Fourth UU.
