Our Sunday Worship Services

Our Congregation meets for Worship mostly every other Sunday, 10:30 - 11:30am.

We meet once a month during the summer (July, August).

We hold hybrid services, in person and also "love-streamed" on Zoom to join from home, generally every two weeks. Our services may be led by our minister, a guest speaker, or our members. On our weeks off, we invite you to visit worship at other UU congregations virtually. Learn more in the weekly Fourth Word newsletter. To subscribe, contact Fourth Word newsletterWe enjoy a "shared ministry" at Fourth UU, alternating services led by our minister, Rev. Lane Cobb, with those led by guest speakers and lay members of the Congregation. Lay-led services allow members to share their passions and spiritual paths with the community.

Like most houses of worship, our services generally follow a
set format and include a variety of elements: readings,
singing, candle and chalice lighting, passing of the
offering basket, and a sermon or homily. Our worship services generally also include:

Candles of Joy and Concern - a time when we share the significant personal events of our lives, to be held and supported by the community.

Congregational Response - a time following the sermon when we are welcome to share our personal thoughts and experiences related to the day's sermon.
You may dress casually for worship services.

Most Sundays the service is followed by a light Coffee Hour for conversation and connection.
